I just knew I was going to love this one before I even started reading it. It's fresh, funky, and easygoing with some great humor added in. I couldn't help but fall in love with the main character. She had such a good nature about her. I also want to give a great amount of praise to Meredith for not going too far in depth with bullying, when it so easily could've went that route. Bullying is such a huge issue that teens struggle with today and to read about a girl who always seems to get things put in her path and humiliated, it left me in awe of the main character and how strong willed she was and how she never let anything get her down.

Kelsey has decided that this is her year. This year she can start fresh, you know, being a freshman and all... This year she can make things work in her favor and most of all, this is the year that Kesley is going to snag her mega swoon worthy crush and sink her teeth into him. She has three of the best friends that anyone could ask for, and so far things seem to be working in her favor, minus one seriously annoying little sister and two dreadful parents.
Out of nowhere, Kelsey starts having little things happen to her. No worries though, this girl knows how to keep her chin up and keep trying. She can handle some pretty tough things that definitely would've had me sulking for sure! The girl doesn't give up and I just adore the courage she has in her and how she never let's anything get her down. The embarrassing photos in the school paper, nah. I love how she handles it! It even comes back to reward her eventually. The crappy position on the soccer team? This girl has skill even if she doesn't realize it! Can anything get her down? Maybe when someone who is supposed to be a best friend steals your crush? Maybe.
