The Vanishing Game is a story about Jocelyn and her determination to find her twin brother Jack. The same brother who Noah, being Jack's best friend, thinks is dead. Starting from the old Seale House that has been charred from the fire that they once lived in, their foster home. They experienced horrid and painstaking memories in. The same house that strange things happen in. Jocelyn, now having only clues in the form of letters from some stranger named Jason December to go on to find Jack. I struggled through this one. I felt as if the story was much too scattered and had trouble holding on at times. Not sure if we should focus on the brother or the mysterious old house.
Jocelyn refused to give up. She wasn't backing down and although Noah thought Jack was dead, he was still by Jocelyn's side and helping her the whole way. Good thing too because things certainly weren't seeming to be normal. People coming from out of nowhere and trying to hurt them. Are they being watched? At one point, Noah thinks it's Jocelyn. There are many clues to be solved and many mysteries to be unraveled. In the end, I was left shocked, dumbfounded, and saddened by it all. I certainly didn't expect what was to come.

Wow...your review is interesting. Sounds like it may have been a bit jumbled and confusing. The cover is really interesting, though.
ReplyDeleteI defintely had a hard time following it. So sad because I was relly looking forward to it.
DeleteI have heard mixed reviews on this book. It sounds like something I would enjoy though. I love the creepy mysteries, and I love being surprised. It's hard for books to surprise me. (I'm just too perceptive lol, I figure stuff out too easy.)Great review.
