Review: Silence by Michelle Sagara

Silence
by Michelle Sagara

Published by: DAW Books
Released on: May 1st, 2012
Hardcover
289 Pages
Rating: 4/5

This is the first time I have read any of Sagara's work and with that being said, it won't be the last. Sagara has the ability to keep your mind in a constant wondering awe. And as you learn more about Emma, you will learn that you have no clue as to what she is. In fact, she isn't so sure herself. With the new ability that has arisen for her, being able to see and communicate with the dead, and not to mention the link that she has found that she has, it's Eric who is sent to kill her. People like her or whatever she may be, aren't allowed to live. They can only become trouble in the future.
Eric has noticed something special in Emma and before he commits the act he was sent to do, Eric decides to wait it out. He thinks that there is some good in her and hopes that it'll override everything else. This could put Eric in serious danger, but he is willing to take that chance.
When Emma first hears the cries of a four year old calling for his mother, all she wants to do is help rescue him. But how do you rescue a dead soul? That little boy is already dead. Can he even be saved? Willing to put her life on the line, Emma left me in a total state of adrenaline, hoping that she wouldn't die in the process.

    1. It was a little confusing at times, but I think it was meant to be that way. The main character was about as confused as I was if that makes sense. LOL!

I love and appreciate all comments. This is an award free blog. I am unfortunately too busy to participate.
